Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant to join the perioperative team. The role includes acting as an RN first assistant and, when needed, as an RN circulator to deliver safe and patient-family centered care.

Candidates should have RN licensure in Georgia, CNOR certification, and completion of an AORN RNFA program with perioperative experience. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, including didactic and clinical components.
• Minimum of two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience; if working in CVOR, minimum three years as RN or Surgical Tech in CVOR.
• CNOR and BLS certifications.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or multistate license.
• RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) and ACLS/PALS preferred depending on patient population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality perioperative care as RN first assistant and, when appropriate, as RN circulator.
• Provide intraoperative assistance during operative procedures and throughout perioperative care continuum.
• Ensure compliance with scope of practice, credentials, privileges, and competency verification.
