Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, effective perioperative care across all patient populations. You will function as an RNFA during operative and invasive procedures, and as an RN circulator as needed.

The role requires CNOR and active Georgia RN licensure, with sign-on bonus available and opportunities to advance in perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If CVOR, minimum three years as RN or Surgical Tech.
• CNOR certification. BLS certification.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. CRNFA and ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative and patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Serve as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and as RN circulator when needed.

At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If working in the CVOR, minimum experience of three years as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population
