Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a qualified RN First Assistant to support perioperative services in the OR. The role requires RN/ RNFA experience and CNOR certification, with BLS and Georgia RN licensure current.

The position may include responsibilities as an RN circulator as needed. The candidate should have completed an AORN-RN First Assistant program and hold or be eligible for CNOR certification, with ACLS/PALS preferred depending on patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• If working in the CVOR, minimum experience of three years as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR.
• CNOR certification.
• BLS certification.
• Current Georgia RN license or multistate license (NLC/eNLC).
• RN First Assistant (CRNFA) and ACLS/PALS are preferred depending on patient population.

Responsabilités

• Delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other perioperative areas.
• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures throughout the perioperative continuum.
• May perform as an RN circulator when required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population
