Job summary

Carle Health seeks an RN First Assist (RNFA) to support surgeons in a fast-paced perioperative environment. You will assist with trays, instrumentation and supplies, provide patient care, administer medications, and monitor patients during and after surgery.

Your role includes scrub and circulate duties and collaboration with the OR team to maintain efficiency. The ideal candidate has RN licensure with CNOR and BLS within 30 days, plus at least 2 years in perioperative nursing.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing; CNOR certification; BLS within 30 days.
• 2+ years of perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries with trays and supplies.
• Provide patient care and support; administer medications.
• Monitor vital signs and post-operative assessments.
• Scrub and circulate as unit needs; assist with room turnover.
