Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for the NT6 Observation unit, a 43-bed, fast-paced area providing acute care with a 24- to 48-hour patient turnover. The role offers a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and a collaborative, team-focused culture.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants meeting commitment requirements. The RN will perform initial assessments, develop care plans, manage IVs (Foley/NG), and ensure thorough documentation while coordinating with physicians and discharge

Qualifications

• RN license required at hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma required.
• RN with ≥1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit-specific nursing care and document accurately.
• Assess patient status and develop care plans.
• Maintain IV sites and start new IVs per policy.
• Ensure safety and complete chart audits and meetings.
