Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for the Observation unit (NT6) in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The unit consists of 43 beds with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and focuses on 24- to 48-hour observation care across cardiac, general surgery, and behavioral health cases.

The role requires RN licensure, a nursing diploma, and BLS certification within 30 days. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• RN license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Performs initial patient assessment and develops a care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions; adjusts as needed.
• Ensures patient and employee safety and attends staff meetings.
