Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington seeks Registered Nurses to join its Facility Float Pool on a PRN basis. You will provide high-quality patient care, rotate across ED, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role offers competitive base pay plus float pool differentials, shift differentials, and employer-matched retirement plans, supporting professional growth and teamwork in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as part of Mercy Hospital Washington's RN Float Pool.
• Rotate across Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Medical-Surgical units (Adults, and Adults & Peds).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care and maintain patients' rights and confidentiality.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Incentives & Benefits You’ll Love

• Special Float Pool Pay Differentials:

  • + $5.00/hr for RNs without ICU experience

  • + $7.50/hr for RNs with ICU experience

• Shift Differentials (Evening/Night)

Float Pool RNs rotate across the following units:

• Emergency Department

• ICU

• Cardiac Telemetry

• Medical-Surgical - (Adults)

• Medical-Surgical - (Adults & Peds)

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program

• Licensure: Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements)

• Experience: 1+ year RN experience preferred

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire

  • Depending on assignment, may also require:

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• Physical Requirements:

  • Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout shifts
