Job summary

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The unit features 12 beds and is equipped with EKG, VS Machines, Parapac, and Bipap devices. You will be responsible for managing patient assessments, treatments, and care plans while utilizing Meditech for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care and treatment to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer treatments including EKGs, labs, and respiratory therapy.
• Perform wound care and splinting as needed.
• Document all care and treatments using Meditech EMR.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
• Must be comfortable working with critical patients.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Nursing License.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
