Description:This role requires an experienced emergency room nurse for a fast-paced environment.Candidates will need to provide care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.The minimum weekend coverage is every other weekend.Support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretaries.Provider coverage includes Intensivist, Nurse Practitioner, Clientist, and Anesthesiologist.
Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, tracheostomy, triage, and managing ventilated patients.Experience with blood product administration, phlebotomy, and procedural sedation monitoring is preferred.Candidates must be capable of carrying out isolation precautions and working in a team environment.Travelers must have experience that supports their role effectively.Candidates should be familiar with general emergency department procedures and diagnoses.A proficient understanding of emergency interventions, including trauma and stroke protocols, is essential.This position does not accept new graduates or those with pediatric-only experience.
