Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for ER at a Level III Trauma Center (99 beds) in Wisconsin. The candidate will handle neonate to geriatric patients, work a rotating shift, and cover 36 hours per shift, with a required 2 years of ED or paramedic experience and a WI/MI paramedic license.

Covid vaccine required; certifications BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIH. Unit support includes CNA staffing ratios, bedside telemonitoring, EPIC charting, and round-the-clock access to specialists.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid WI or MI paramedic license.
• 2+ years of ED nursing or paramedic experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in the ED.
• Collaborate with ED team using EPIC charting and coordinate care with bedside monitoring and on-site support.

Description:Looking for a candidate with a valid WI or MI paramedic license.The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 99 beds.Covid vaccine is required.Patient types range from neonate to geriatrics.The ED handles all patient types and level III trauma cases.Patient ratios are 1:3-4 during the day and 1:5 at night.Support on the unit includes 1 CNA for every 17 patients and a charge nurse who takes patient assignments on night shifts.Phlebotomy is performed by RNs.Resource nurses and respiratory therapists are available 24/7, as well as hospitalists.Bedside and nurse station telemonitoring is provided.Paramedics will work in the ED when not responding to calls.The charting system used is EPIC, and Alaris IV Pumps and Pyxis are utilized.Weekend rotations required every other weekend.Holiday expectations and time-off requests are not available.Scrub colors can be of any choice.The ED has its own ambulance service and is part of a close-knit team within a rural hospital.
