Description:The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.This is a 3x12 hour shift role.Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting.First-time travelers are welcomed.Weekend availability is required.Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, MAB, and NIHSS are mandatory.There is no requirement for on-call duty.Clinicians will not float outside their assigned scope.Block scheduling is not accommodated.Local candidates are accepted.Pending licenses will not be accepted.Guaranteed hours are 36 per week, with the possibility of cancellations up to 3 shifts.The facility type is an acute care hospital with Magnet designation.This is a teaching hospital and a Level II Trauma Center.The facility has 412 staffed beds.Charting is done using the Cerner system.There is no specific scrub color requirement, but camouflage and character patterns are not allowed.Patient care will involve a wide age range, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.The daily census in the Emergency Department ranges from 270 to 300 patients.This unit requires experience with Trauma Level II or III and Triage.Interdisciplinary support is available, including phlebotomy and social services.Candidates must comply with strict dress code policies.
