Job summary

The Cynet HealthStaff ER nursing opportunity is for a night-shift RN in Adrian, MI, assigned to a 27-bed Emergency Department designated as Primary Stroke Center in rural setting.

The role requires 3+ years in ED, MI license in hand, ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC/NIH certifications, and the ability to float within the service line. Night shifts are 12 hours with a 1:4–5 team ratio. You will work 13-week blocks with weekend rotations and high-acuity trauma care.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH certifications required.
• Float within service line as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle diverse ED cases including chest pain, SOB, sepsis, stroke.
• Perform rapid assessment, IV access, and initial resuscitation.
• Administer IV vasopressors and sedation per protocol.
• Manage dysrhythmias and central lines; monitor patient status.
• Triage and collaborate with 24/7 team; 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Description:Float within the service line as needed.Average daily census of 76 patients.The unit caters to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.Staffing ratios are 1:4-5 on all shifts.See all patients that present with any complaint to the Emergency Room.Typical chief complaints include chest pain, shortness of breath, mental health evaluations, OB/GYN emergencies, sepsis, stroke, abdominal pain, sprains/strains/fractures, trauma, and cardiac arrest.The unit consists of a 27-bed Emergency Department in a rural setting.It is designated as a Primary Stroke Center and seeks Trauma IV designation.There is a dedicated room for SANE and forensic nursing, with 24/7 coverage by board-certified providers and charge nurses.The team includes 24/7 triage nurses and house supervisors.There are two designated resuscitation rooms and four preferred mental health rooms.Experience in combined adult and pediatric emergency care is required.Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and continuous IV sedation.Other skills include administration of IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, management of CVA and traumatic brain injuries, and triage.Every other weekend of work is required.Familiarity with the Epic charting system is essential.Patient ratio experience of 1:4 is mandatory.Certifications in ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC are required.No local travelers within a 50-mile radius are accepted.
