Job description

We are looking for an experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients in the emergency room setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document according to standards of care and perform thorough patient assessments.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician or clinic policy, including family instruction.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and may include shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance in support of patients' longitudinal care plans.
• Employ critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating issues to the chain of command.
• Engage in professional nursing continuum activities, unit practice decisions, and peer review processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active WI RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications.
• Either TNCC or TNS certification.
• RN education verification.
