Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract in Seattle. Shifts run evenings (15:00–03:30) or nights (19:00–07:30) with every-other-weekend coverage.

The role focuses on high‑quality emergency trauma care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Requires 3+ years ED experience, Level 3+ trauma center experience, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS/TNCC/ENPC (or PALS) certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ED nursing experience, including travel.
• 2+ years staff RN experience in ED at Level 3 trauma center or higher (Level 1/2 preferred).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (or ATCN), ENPC (or PALS).
• Ventilated patients and ICP monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; certification test required.
• Administer IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Care for trauma, stroke, and mental health patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory and social services.
• Use Epic for charting and documentation.
• Participate in interventions and procedural sedation administration.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled for evenings from 15:00 to 03:30 or nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Job Description

The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a trauma setting. As an ER RN, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, especially in managing critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently interpret and manage dysrhythmias - certification test required.
• Administer IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Care for patients with a diverse range of diagnoses, including trauma, stroke, and mental health concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
• Participate in interventions and procedural sedation administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department, including travel experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of staff RN experience in an Emergency Department at a Level 3 trauma center or higher (Level 1 or 2 preferred).
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (or ATCN), ENPC (or PALS).
• Experience with ventilated patients and ICP monitoring is preferred.
