Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Austin. This 13-week contract features 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with required nights and weekends rotations. A fast-paced ED with a 32-bed unit and a 4:1 patient ratio awaits your expertise.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS/ACLS, ENPC and TNCC certifications, and at least 1 year of ED experience. Lumbar puncture, intubation, and thrombolytic therapy are among the procedures performed.

Qualifications

  • RN must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum 1 year ER experience.
  • Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; 12-hour shifts.
  • TNCC must be obtained by start date; ENPC by start date; ACLS and BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care to ED patients.
  • Collaborate with ED staff to ensure patient safety and throughput.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.The contract duration is for 13 weeks with a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.The role requires rotations for nights and weekends.The typical patient ratio on the unit is 4:1.There are 32 beds within the unit.Staffing includes a mix of registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, medics, and patient care technicians.Candidates must possess essential skills required for emergency procedures.These include lumbar puncture, intubations, thrombolytic therapy, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting.The ideal candidate is a great team player who anticipates both patient and department needs.The dress code includes navy blue scrubs and a navy blue zip-up sweater.Pull-over sweatshirts are not acceptable attire.Positions available allow for further opportunity for permanent placement in the department.This unit offers the chance to work with advanced equipment and technology, enhancing the professional experience.
