Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an ER RN for a 13-week contract in Denver, CO. The role is in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 24-bed unit and a team-oriented environment.
Schedule is 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with 12-hour shifts, and a typical team consisting of RNs, a Charge Nurse, EMTs, and support staff. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of ED acute care experience, active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIH/ENPC certifications.

Description:This position involves working in the Emergency Department.The department has 24 beds and a staff of 45.The shift consists of 4 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT during the day shift.The night shift includes 4 Night RNs, 1 night EMT, and 1 night Charge Nurse.Patient ratios are 4:1, and 5:1 during surge conditions.The department uses GE monitors and the Meditech EMR system.Typical procedures include port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKGs, and Foley placements.Candidates with additional skills such as CEN, CPEN, US IV competency, and pediatric Emergency Department experience will be prioritized.We are looking for individuals who are caring, competent, and active.Ideal candidates should be easy to communicate with and willing to go above and beyond.
