Job summary

Medasource seeks experienced ER nurses for the Corpus Christi Northwest FSED, a 15-bed unit with day and night shifts and 1:4 patient ratios. Staff provide rapid, high-quality care across emergencies, trauma, sepsis, and acute events.

Expect to collaborate with EMTs and physicians in a 24/7 setting and maintain strict documentation and policies. Required certifications include BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, PALS or ENPC.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, PALS or ENPC.

Responsibilities

• Splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration.
• Assessments and reassessments with thorough documentation.
• Oversee EMT-Ps and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced ER.

• Number of Beds – 15
• Number of Staff –
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 06:30 – 18_30= 3 RNs, 9am- 6:30pm EMT-P or Nurse Extern
  • Night Shift – 5Pm-1am EMT-P and 3 RNs 18:30-06:30
• Patient Ratios – 1:4 depending on acuity
• Type of equipment – Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, Stryker stretchers
• EMR – Meditech

• Scrub Color/Attire – Royal Blue, No hoodies

• Must clock out for lunch breaks and any time leaving the building as well as communicate to the CNC

Weekends and On call(if any)

• Every other weekend, no on-call
