Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department located in Hickory, NC. The unit features 12-hour night shifts, self-scheduling, and every-other-weekend rotation to support work-life balance.

As an ED RN you will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document care, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
