Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time role features 3x12 hour night shifts, a $20,000 commitment incentive, and a busy 32-bed unit with self-scheduling and every-other-weekend rotation.

You will perform assessments, interventions, and documentation, maintain licensure, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
