Job summary

HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc., Flemington, NJ, is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Nursing Supervisor to oversee patient flow and nursing assignments across shifts. You will supervise care delivery, expedite tests and services, and ensure compliance with hospital regulations.

Qualified candidates have a BSN or active NJ RN license with at least 3 years of acute care experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; trauma and stroke training is required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; BSN within 5 years if ADN.
• Active New Jersey RN license required; CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS essential.
• Experience: minimum 3 years in acute care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assumes clinical oversight for a shift to facilitate patient throughput.
• Makes patient/nurse assignments considering acuity and staff experience.
• Collaborates with Administrative Nursing Supervisor and providers to expedite flow.
• Supports governance, research, quality improvement and fiscal responsibility.
• Participates in staff evaluation and acts as a role model for staff.
