Job summary

HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc. in Flemington, NJ is seeking a full-time RN leader to oversee patient flow, staffing, and clinical operations on a Med-Surg unit.

The candidate will assign nursing teams, collaborate with physicians and discharge planners, and promote quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. A BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is required, with at least 3 years of acute care nursing experience and NJ RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; BSN preferred or enrollment in BSN program within 5 years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Current New Jersey RN license and CPR certification.
• Solid understanding of DOH and TJC regulations; excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate patient flow and staffing on assigned shift.
• Assign patients and nurses based on acuity and experience; ensure safe care delivery.
• Collaborate with Administrative Nursing Supervisor and discharge planners to improve throughput.
• Model professional behavior, provide staff development, and support quality and confidentiality.
• Participate in performance evaluations and staff education initiatives.
