Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking an RN Specialty Educator to lead staff education across shifts in Virginia. The Educator acts as a consultant, driving teaching strategies and ensuring competent patient care in line with Riverside standards and facility goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, RN licensure, and relevant teaching experience. A Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare is preferred. Expect collaboration with leadership and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare is preferred.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care is required.
• 1 year experience with teaching in a clinical or formal setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and systemize policies, procedures, care and services provided, coordinating across RHS and community.
• Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for defined areas.
• Create and maintain an environment that develops a competent, efficient service/care delivery team.
• Monitor clinical activities for risks and learning opportunities, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor ongoing standards of excellence and Riverside Code of Conduct to improve outcomes.
• Address physician, staff and patient issues within 72 hours and ensure team understanding.
