Job summary

Your Place In Vermont is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care in a per diem role. The RN will follow established standards and use the nursing process to document and deliver care, delegating tasks as appropriate.

The position requires an ADN/BSN and an active Vermont RN license, with opportunities for growth and exposure to diverse specialties. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available, along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Six months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing care knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in technology in care delivery.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Basic dysrhythmia
• De-escalation training (required)

The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Basic dysrhythmia
• De-escalation training (required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course (within one year of hire)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (preferred)

Salary Range:

The Premium Per Diem role is $65.00 per hour and is not eligible for differential pay (i.e., "per diem", "shift", "weekend" or "holiday").
