Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess residents’ health and education/environmental needs, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized care plans.

You will document plans on admission and changes, perform nursing interventions, and ensure safe medication administration, with SBARR communication to physicians. 12+ hours of nursing offerings may be required.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in RN licensure.
• Current RN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and time management.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Ability to document electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status on admission and ongoing basis.
• Communicates significant changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Develops dynamic care plans with physicians, residents, families, and IDT members.
• Documents the care plan on admission, cognition changes, or regulatory requirements.
• Identifies nursing interventions including orders and educational needs.
• Administers medications, treatments, and IV fluids safely.
• Notifies physician timely using SBARR; maintains composure during crises.
• Assists with call lights and resident care; supports 12+ hours of nursing offerings.
