Job summary

Bethesda Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to accurately assess residents' health status and develop patient-centered care plans. You will collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and timely documentation.

The role requires critical thinking, strong communication, and the ability to perform nursing interventions safely. Responsibilities include admissions assessments, care-plan updates, and assisting with ADLs.

Qualifications

• RN-level nursing licensure and active state license
• CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Ability to document electronically and in writing accurately

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status at admission and on an ongoing basis
• Develops care plans with the interdisciplinary team and updates them as needs change
• Documents the care plan and resident progress in a timely manner
• Communicates the plan to residents, families and IDT members
• Performs nursing interventions, including medication administration and IV therapy, safely
• Responds to crises calmly and coordinates with physicians and family as needed
• Participates in QA/QAPI activities to address care issues and improve outcomes
• Assists residents with ADLs and supports family education as appropriate
