Job summary

Longterm Health Management Services seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Overland Park, KS. This full-time leadership role partners with the Director of Nursing to guide clinical operations, staff development, and high-quality resident care.

The ADON will mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, participate in audits and QAPI initiatives, and step in as DON designee as needed. The ideal candidate holds an active RN license and has SNF/long-term care leadership

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• Significant leadership experience in SNF/long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, surveys, and QAPI processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing all clinical and nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
• Assist with audits, care plan reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and resident-centered care.
• Participate in staff education, coaching, and performance management.
• Step in as DON designee when needed.
