Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Discharge Hospitality Center at MetroHealth Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. This float pool role supports inpatient medical-surgical units with nursing care across Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.

Responsibilities include IV placement, blood draws, catheter care, tracheostomy care, NG/PEG management, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care while prioritizing time-sensitive

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (or in accreditation process).
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification by AHA or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple units including Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.
• Provide direct patient care with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, catheter care, tracheostomy care, NG/PEG management.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation within the care team.
