Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH seeks an experienced RN to join the Inpatient Critical Care / Critical Care Step Down Float Pool on a PRN basis. You will float across Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down and General Medicine units, providing critical care support and bedside care such as IV placement, wound care, and patient monitoring.

Required is an accredited nursing degree and OH RN licensure with at least 1 year in inpatient critical care; BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Ohio RN licensure.
• AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient critical care RN experience; PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform IV placement, blood draws, and Foley catheter insertion/removal.
• Provide care for tracheostomy, NG, PEG, drains, and wound care.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and effective delegation.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN across units.
