Job summary

S:US in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Developmental Disabilities Division to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on nursing assessments, care planning, and adherence to regulatory standards to ensure safe, dignified community living.

The position requires collaboration with physicians, program staff, and residence teams, along with timely documentation in the Precision Care electronic health record.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in New York State.
• Specialized training in I/DD and/or one-year experience in community health care services AMAP trainer CPR and First Aid trained.

Responsibilities

• Assesses health condition and determines need for referral to physician or emergency room.
• Develops an initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of placement.
• Develops a Plan of Nursing Services (PONS) within 30 days of placement and annually thereafter.
• Ensures proper storage of medications and compliance with OPWDD regulations.
