Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks an RN in Clinton, MA. This non-exempt role is based on a full-time 40-hour schedule but the position is offered with a 24-hour work commitment per week and prorating for part-time hours.

The role requires Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and a strong nursing knowledge base. Expect shift 7:00–15:30 with day shift duties and associated responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, plus unit-specific certifications.
• BSN is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Administers medications and assists physician with treatment and procedures.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement.
