Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Clinton, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a geriatric psychiatric setting. You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process from admission through discharge, work a day shift, and contribute to care planning and family education.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN, ACLS if applicable to unit.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted where allowed.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process to plan, deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individualized plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises and coordinates nursing care within the clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to policy and procedures.
• Supports education for patient/family and staff development.
