Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role requires Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and unit-specific certifications.

A BSN is highly preferred and you will work within an established care team in a dynamic hospital setting. You will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care, plan discharge, and participate in ongoing education and quality

Qualifications

Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration is required.
BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Uses the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
Develops and coordinates individual plans of care including discharge planning.
Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
