Avamere at Pacific Ridge in Tacoma, WA is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for day shifts. You will assess residents, administer medications, monitor health, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team while supervising LPNs and CNAs.

This role requires an active RN license in Washington, a nursing degree, CPR/BLS, and EMR experience. Prior long-term care or geriatric rehab experience is preferred, with generous benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state; BSN preferred.
• Must maintain an active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Prefer experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and/or critical care settings.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and monitor residents’ health as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes; report concerns to physicians.
• Provide wound care in collaboration with specialists as needed.
• Supervise and train LPNs and CNAs; orient new staff.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate with families and professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
