Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The role requires 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) with every other weekend, and a focus on high-quality patient care.

You will hold an Associate’s Degree or diploma in nursing, California RN license, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS and other certifications within 1 year. Competitive compensation includes a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or diploma from accredited nursing program.
Current California Registered Nurse License.
BLS and ACLS certification.
PALS Certification within 1 year of hire.
MICN certification - Required within 1 year of hire.
TNCC certification - Required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Completes comprehensive assessment and history on patients’ admission.
Initiates effective interventions based on assessed problems; evaluates and documents patient response.
Care is given in collaboration with patient, family and other team members.
All documentation is on correct forms, is complete, legible and current.
Identifies problems, assesses patient response and takes timely actions.
Participates in Performance Improvement program and follows department initiatives.
Cleans and prepares treatment areas and ensures equipment is functional.
All assessments and interventions align with department policy and job description.
Attends staff meetings and communicates inquiries promptly.
Promotes teamwork and effective communication with the health care team.
