Job summary

Desert Care Network is seeking a Registered Nurse in Joshua Tree, CA. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 based on experience. Shifts are days, with 12-hour coverage and every-other-weekend requirements.

You will provide high-quality nursing care in a medical/surgical setting, administer medications, educate patients, and participate in discharge planning, all while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation competency by end of orientation.
• 1 year Acute Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the nursing process and applies it to assessment and care planning.
• Develops and implements a care plan based on patient assessments.
• Ensure each patient has an appropriate plan of care.
• Organize care with staffing assignments.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Administer medications safely and document accurately.
• Protect patient confidentiality and informed consent.
• Observe patient rights and report elder abuse when indicated.
• Maintain and update competency records annually.
• Plan and supervise junior staff and students as needed.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias appropriately.
