Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical team in Joshua Tree, CA. This full-time role features day shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) with every other weekend required, and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 based on experience.

You will provide high-quality nursing care, develop and implement care plans, and educate patients and families. We value clinical excellence, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CA RN license required.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation competency by end of orientation.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing process knowledge and apply it to patient pathophysiology.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessments with appropriate interventions.
• Ensure each RN patient has an appropriate care plan and interventions.
• Organize patient care with staff assignments based on skills.
• Provide patient education and document needs met.
• Administer medications safely and avoid errors.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and informed consent processes.
• Observe patient rights and report elder abuse when indicated.
• Supervise and evaluate LVNs, CNAs and students.
• Monitor and respond to cardiac arrhythmias on monitors.
