Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to deliver professional bedside nursing care in an OB/L&D focused unit, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and supervise staff as needed.

This full-time role includes a strict schedule of 7:00pm–7:30am, every other weekend, a generous sign-on bonus up to $25,000 based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1yr+ OB/L&D experience
• California RN license; BLS
• ACLS required upon orientation
• NRP and Advanced Fetal Monitoring required upon orientation

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Delivers individualized bedside nursing care based on the nursing process.
• Acts as supervisor by directing other healthcare staff for patient care.
• Evaluates quality/effectiveness of nursing practice to meet patient goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
• May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
• May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 1yr or more in OB L/D experience needed
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. BLS.
• ACLS required upon orientation completion.
• NRP and Advanced Fetal Monitoring required upon completion of orientation.
