Job summary

Maple Grove Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated RN / Charge Nurse to join our long-term care team. You will lead the shift, oversee nursing staff, ensure quality patient care, and administer medications according to policy and physician orders where allowed.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in the state, have BLS/CPR certification, and prefer 2 years of SNF experience, supporting a caring, compliant facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program and licensed in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serves as a resource to all staff regarding quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care and administer medications per policy and physician orders where allowed.
• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit overtime and agency use.
• Assesses staff performance against unit standards of care and goals.
• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and communicates updates to the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications of RN / Charge Nurse

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing / RN program and licensed in the state of practice, required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).

Principal Responsibilities of RN Charge Nurse

• Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serves as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care when required; Demonstrates the ability to administer medications and treatment timely and according to facility policy; Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Assesses the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.
• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.
