Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time RN for ICU/CCU to deliver professional nursing care in a high-acuity critical care setting. You will coordinate with the healthcare team under the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes and thorough handoffs.

The role requires an Arkansas RN license, BLS on hire, ACLS and PALS within 6 months, plus TNCC and ENPC or commitment to obtain.

Qualifications

• Current Arkansas RN license.
• BLS at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications (or commitment to obtain).
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency and professional communication with the care team.

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care using the full nursing process for patients in a critical care setting. Coordinate care planning with other disciplines while functioning under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform frequent, systematic assessments (at least every two hours) and update care plans accordingly.
• Communicate changes in condition to physicians; provide thorough handoff reports to oncoming nurses.
• Maintain strict infection prevention practices; support a safe environment of care.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; interpret electrocardiography (EKG) and apply appropriate drug therapies and procedures used in the unit.
• Administer, titrate, and document critical care infusions
• Care for immediate post-anesthesia patients when assigned and follow PACU guidelines.

Job Qualifications

Required

• Current Arkansas RN license.
• BLS at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications (or commitment to obtain per department timeline).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; professional communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.

Preferred

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1–3 years of nursing experience (critical care strongly preferred).

Compensation & Schedule

• Status: Full-time (PRN/part-time may be considered).
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with potential nights/weekends/holidays and call per unit needs.
• Pay: Competitive base pay with applicable differentials; details discussed during the interview process.
