Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Whiteville, TN for correctional healthcare assignments. NIGHTS, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a travel pay package including hourly rate and lodging/mileage stipends.

Responsibilities include patient care, supervising staff, coordinating with teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and medical policies. Minimum TN RN license, 1+ year experience, BLS, and nursing degree required.

Qualifications

• Current TN RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• A degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• PSV and other compliance documents may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inmate/resident hospitalizations and medical conditions.
• Supervise and guide nursing and medical staff.
• Coordinate with facility staff, healthcare providers, and outside agencies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, correctional, pharmacy, and safety policies.
• Review medical records for accurate documentation and services.
• Monitor pharmacy use and controlled substances.
• Provide health education and counseling.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records.
• Prepare required reports and incident documentation.
• Support accreditation requirements (NCCHC, ACA, JCAHO).
• Prepare safety and incident reports and respond to emergencies.

Travel Package:

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $20.32, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $462.00) = $1,232.00

Total Comp :$1,963.52

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 70+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

• Prepare required reports, records, and incident documentation.
• Support NCCHC, ACA, and JCAHO accreditation requirements.
• Prepare safety and incident reports and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestricted TN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Must have minimum of one (1) year of related work experience
• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing
• BLS through American Heart Association or equivalent
• Additional certifications may be required
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
