Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for the Indianapolis area to deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

The role includes 12-hour shifts (day/night), travel pay eligibility, and competitive benefits. Candidates must hold IN RN licensure and have recent RN experience, with required certifications and PSV as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Indiana nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of RN experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS) and compliance documents (immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharges.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and timeliness.

Local Pay: $ 52.50 /hour - W2

Travel Pay

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $27.56, Stipend (Lodging $714.00 + M&I $315.00) = $1,029.00,

Total Comp: $2,021.26

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted IN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a RN

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
