Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Los Angeles, CA. The RN collaborates with healthcare professionals, correctional officers and administrators to deliver routine and emergency care within a correctional facility.

Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, preferred correctional health care experience and certifications such as CCHP-RN; CPR and TB screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.
