Job summary

State of Ohio's Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Mansfield is seeking aRegistered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a correctional health setting. You will administer medications, perform assessments, and support physicians with clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires current licensure as registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Experience with clinical nursing tasks and patient care in a health care setting.
• Ability to administer medications and monitor patient compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication (oral, intramuscular, IV) and monitors patient compliance.
• Performs treatments and assists with nurse's sick call.
• Assists with doctor’s sick call and chronic care clinics.
• Responds to emergencies with CPR and clinical assessments.
• Documents vitals and patient findings accurately.
• Facilitates patient discharge or transfer planning.
• Coordinates with pharmacy for discharge medications.
• Provides training to new nursing staff and agency nurses.
