National Commission on Correctional Health Care seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the medical team at the North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio. The role demands oversight of nursing services, coordination with physicians, and strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

Formación

• College degree in nursing required and valid Ohio RN license.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with 2 supervisory roles.
• Must possess current CPR certification and operate within Ohio Nursing scope.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise nursing staff and nursing care.
• Attend sick calls with physicians; prepare examining rooms and equipment.
• Call physicians for medication and treatment orders; manage emergencies.
• Assess inmates and coordinate referrals to emergency care as needed.
• Maintain and update inmate and staff CID-related records.
• Coordinate public health programs per state codes and HIPAA rules.
• Administer medications via pill cart and ensure tests are obtained as ordered.
• Immunize and document immunizations; provide health education as required.
