Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to ensure safe, high-quality patient care through effective staffing, resource management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. You will support patient flow, oversee daily operations, and promote a positive, accountable work environment aligned with Mercy’s mission.

NO CONTRACT role with sign-on bonus for eligible RNs, and a strong focus on leadership development, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• AHA Healthcare Provider certification (required or within probation).
• TNCC, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery using the nursing process and ensure coordination of care.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate on patient flow and bed management.
• Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model; provide feedback, coaching, and accountability.
• Promote a positive work environment and staff engagement through governance and recognition.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, staff, and providers; escalate issues as needed.
• Support regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, quality initiatives, and root cause analyses.
• Address patient concerns and support service recovery to improve satisfaction.
