Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced RN to lead the Observation Unit. Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• BSN is required.
• BLS certification is required per policy guidelines.
• Professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings and huddles.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and operations.
• Delegates care appropriately to staff.
• Identifies expected outcomes for continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and shares updates with the team.
• Performs nursing care, treatments, therapies, and medication administration as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through ongoing capacity assessment.
