Job summary

You will develop plans, conduct training, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include coordinating orientation, communicating with staff and physicians, supervising personnel, and directing daily operations.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of three year of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP and CCRN certificates may be required based on unit.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians and administration.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates staff; ensures efficient department operation and appropriate use of time and resources.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and adjusts care plans as required.
