Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Supervisor to support administrative functions of the department and guide staff across shifts. You will develop plans, oversee training, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality patient care.

The role involves direct patient care when needed and collaboration with the unit Director/Manager to optimize operations and staff performance.

Qualifications

• California RN license required; valid and current.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire and kept current.
• Minimum three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Ensures quality of staff and department functions during shifts; directs, supervises and evaluates personnel.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice; continually assess care and guide staff adjustments.
