Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a registered professional clinical nurse (RN) to provide and coordinate evidence-based care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, within the NMH framework.

The RN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, participates in teaching and mentoring, and upholds the organization’s ethics, compliance and patient-centered care standards to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of patients spanning diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care.
• Document the patient’s responses to nursing interventions in the health record and individualize the plan of care based on evaluation findings.
