Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide and coordinate evidence-based nursing care for an assigned patient group. The RN will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating care within the NMH framework and align with ANA standards and organizational ethics.

Responsibilities include advocacy, ongoing education, and collaboration with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safe unit operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of patients across nursing process stages (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care and achieve outcomes.
• Advocate for patients and families with a patient-centered care approach and safe environment.
